Description

Creamy Garlic Butter Beef Pasta is the ultimate one-pot comfort food. This easy weeknight dinner features savory ground beef simmered in a rich garlic butter cream sauce, tossed with tender pasta for a cozy, satisfying meal. Quick to make and full of flavor, it’s perfect for busy nights or lazy weekends.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 34 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons butter (plus more for finishing)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 8 oz short pasta (penne, rotini, shells, etc.)
  • 2 1/23 cups beef broth or water (enough to just cover pasta)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Sauté Onion & Beef:
In a large pot or deep skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat. Add diced onion and sauté until softened.

  2. Cook Beef:
Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.

  3. Add Garlic:
Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.

  4. Cook Pasta in Broth:
Add uncooked pasta and pour in beef broth until just covered. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer uncovered, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender and most liquid is absorbed.

  5. Make it Creamy:
Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Mix until sauce is smooth and creamy.

  6. Finish and Serve:
Stir in a bit of extra butter and top with fresh parsley. Serve hot.

Notes

  • Protein Swap: Use ground turkey, chicken, or Italian sausage for variety.
  • Add Veggies: Stir in spinach, mushrooms, or peas near the end.
  • Spice it Up: Add red pepper flakes or a splash of Worcestershire for a flavor boost.
  • Cheesy Finish: Top with shredded mozzarella and bake for 10 minutes for a bubbly crust.
