Ingredients
- Salmon fillets (skinless, cut into bite-sized cubes)
- Olive oil or avocado oil
- Cornstarch or all-purpose flour
- Garlic powder
- Paprika
- Salt
- Black pepper
- Hot sauce or sriracha
- Honey or maple syrup
- Soy sauce
- Lime juice (optional, for serving)
- Green onions or sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Pat salmon dry and cut into evenly sized cubes.
- In a bowl, toss salmon with cornstarch, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook salmon in a single layer for 6–8 minutes, turning to brown all sides.
- While salmon cooks, mix hot sauce, honey, and soy sauce in a small bowl.
- Reduce heat, pour sauce over salmon, and toss to coat.
- Cook 1–2 more minutes, until sauce thickens and clings to the salmon.
- Serve hot with green onions, sesame seeds, or a squeeze of lime.
Notes
- Use panko for extra crunch or bake/air-fry for a lighter option.
- Try Thai sweet chili sauce for a flavor variation.
- Add crushed red pepper or cayenne for more heat.
- Serve in rice bowls, tacos, wraps, or as an appetizer with dip.
- Cod or tilapia can be used, but salmon offers the best texture and richness.
