Description

These Crispy Spicy Salmon Bites are juicy on the inside, golden and crispy on the outside, and coated in a bold, spicy-sweet glaze. Ready in just 20 minutes, they’re perfect for rice bowls, wraps, tacos, or snacking. A fast and flavorful way to enjoy salmon!

Ingredients

  • Salmon fillets (skinless, cut into bite-sized cubes)
  • Olive oil or avocado oil
  • Cornstarch or all-purpose flour
  • Garlic powder
  • Paprika
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Hot sauce or sriracha
  • Honey or maple syrup
  • Soy sauce
  • Lime juice (optional, for serving)
  • Green onions or sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Pat salmon dry and cut into evenly sized cubes.
  2. In a bowl, toss salmon with cornstarch, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook salmon in a single layer for 6–8 minutes, turning to brown all sides.
  4. While salmon cooks, mix hot sauce, honey, and soy sauce in a small bowl.
  5. Reduce heat, pour sauce over salmon, and toss to coat.
  6. Cook 1–2 more minutes, until sauce thickens and clings to the salmon.
  7. Serve hot with green onions, sesame seeds, or a squeeze of lime.

Notes

  • Use panko for extra crunch or bake/air-fry for a lighter option.
  • Try Thai sweet chili sauce for a flavor variation.
  • Add crushed red pepper or cayenne for more heat.
  • Serve in rice bowls, tacos, wraps, or as an appetizer with dip.
  • Cod or tilapia can be used, but salmon offers the best texture and richness.
