Description

This Decadent Chocolate Cherry Dream Pie combines rich chocolate, creamy filling, and sweet cherry topping in one irresistible dessert. With a buttery graham cracker or Oreo crust, silky chocolate cream layer, and vibrant cherry pie filling, this no-bake (or partially baked) pie is the perfect showstopping dessert for Valentine’s Day, holidays, or dinner parties. Easy to make and beautiful to serve!

Ingredients

For the Crust

  • Graham cracker or Oreo cookie crumbs
  • Unsalted butter (melted)
  • Granulated sugar (optional, for graham crust)

For the Chocolate Cream Filling

  • Semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips
  • Heavy cream
  • Cream cheese (softened)
  • Powdered sugar
  • Vanilla extract

For the Cherry Topping

  • Cherry pie filling (store-bought or homemade)
  • Fresh cherries (optional, for garnish)

For Topping

  • Whipped cream
  • Chocolate curls or shavings

Instructions

  1. Combine cookie crumbs with melted butter (and sugar, if using graham crackers).
  2. Press mixture firmly into a 9-inch pie dish. Chill for 30 minutes, or bake at 350°F (175°C) for 8–10 minutes for a firmer crust. Let cool.
  3. Heat heavy cream until simmering and pour over chocolate chips. Stir until melted and smooth to create a ganache.
  4. In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  5. Mix the chocolate ganache into the cream cheese mixture until well blended.
  6. Pour filling into the prepared crust and smooth the top.
  7. Chill the pie for at least 4 hours, or until fully set.
  8. Top with cherry pie filling, whipped cream, and chocolate shavings just before serving.
  9. Keep chilled until ready to serve.

Notes

  • Use a chocolate shortbread crust for an ultra-rich base.
  • Add a splash of cherry liqueur or amaretto for a boozy variation.
  • No-bake version: use instant chocolate pudding instead of ganache.
  • Swap cream cheese for Greek yogurt for a lighter twist.
  • Add a swirl of raspberry sauce on top for color and tartness.
  • Crust stays crisp if baked and cooled before filling.
