Description

Honey Lime Basil Peach Fruit Salad is a vibrant and refreshing summer dish made with sweet ripe peaches, strawberries, blueberries, and a zesty honey-lime dressing. Fresh basil adds a unique, herbaceous twist that elevates the flavor of this easy fruit salad recipe. Perfect for picnics, potlucks, brunches, or as a light and healthy dessert, this colorful fruit salad is as beautiful as it is delicious.

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe peaches, sliced or chopped
  • 1 cup strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 12 nectarines or plums, sliced (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons honey (light and floral like clover or orange blossom)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon lime zest
  • 1 tablespoon fresh basil, thinly sliced
  • Pinch of salt (optional, to enhance flavor)

Instructions

  1. Wash and prep all fruit: slice peaches, strawberries, nectarines or plums; leave blueberries whole.

  2. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, lime juice, lime zest, and salt (if using).

  3. In a large bowl, gently combine all prepared fruit.

  4. Drizzle the honey-lime dressing over the fruit and toss gently to coat.

  5. Sprinkle with sliced fresh basil and give one final gentle toss.

  6. Serve immediately or chill for 15–30 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Add kiwi, grapes, or melon for more variety and color.
  • Swap basil with mint for a more classic herb pairing.
  • Sprinkle chopped pistachios or toasted coconut on top before serving for added texture.
  • Prep ahead by storing the fruit and dressing separately, then mix just before serving.
  • Frozen fruit works in a pinch—thaw and drain well before using.
