Description

This Cheesy Bread is everything you love about comfort food—crispy edges, melty cheese, and buttery garlic flavor all packed into every bite. Made with just a few everyday ingredients, it’s the perfect side dish for pasta night, game day, or a cozy snack. Fast, easy, and totally irresistible!

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf French bread or Italian bread (or pizza dough or naan)
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 23 cloves garlic, minced (or 1 tsp garlic powder)
  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese (or Parmesan for a sharper flavor)
  • 12 tbsp chopped fresh parsley or 1 tsp dried Italian seasoning (optional)
  • Pinch of salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prep Oven: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Prepare Bread: Slice loaf in half lengthwise. Place both halves cut side up on the baking sheet.

  3. Mix Butter: In a bowl, combine softened butter, garlic, and a pinch of salt if needed.

  4. Butter the Bread: Spread garlic butter generously over both halves.

  5. Add Cheese: Top with mozzarella and cheddar (or cheese of choice), spreading evenly to the edges.

  6. Bake: Bake for 12–15 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly.

  7. Broil (Optional): Broil for 1–2 minutes for a golden, crisp top—watch closely!

  8. Serve: Let cool briefly, then slice into sticks or squares and serve hot.

Notes

  • Add marinara under the cheese for pizza bread.
  • Try cheeses like provolone, gouda, feta, or pepper jack for a flavor twist.
  • Top with red pepper flakes or jalapeños for heat.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge and reheat in the oven or air fryer for best texture.
