Description

This Keto Low Carb Beef and Broccoli is a quick and easy stir-fry recipe that delivers all the flavor of classic takeout without the carbs. With tender beef slices, crisp broccoli, and a savory garlic soy sauce, it’s a delicious low-carb dinner ready in under 30 minutes—perfect for weeknights or meal prep.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced across the grain
  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or avocado oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ cup soy sauce or coconut aminos (for gluten-free option)
  • ¼ cup beef broth
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar substitute (erythritol or monk fruit)
  • ¼ tsp xanthan gum (for thickening)
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Slice beef thinly and season lightly with salt and pepper.

  2. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Sear beef in batches until browned, then remove and set aside.

  3. Add remaining oil to skillet if needed. Sauté garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant.

  4. Add broccoli and stir-fry for 4–5 minutes until crisp-tender.

  5. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, beef broth, sesame oil, sweetener, and xanthan gum.

  6. Return beef to skillet and pour sauce over the mixture. Toss to coat and simmer for 2–3 minutes until sauce thickens.

  7. Garnish with green onions, sesame seeds, and red pepper flakes if using. Serve warm.

Notes

  • Add mushrooms or bell peppers for extra flavor and texture.
  • Use sriracha or chili flakes for a spicy version.
  • Swap soy sauce with coconut aminos for soy-free keto.
  • Skip xanthan gum and simmer sauce longer for natural thickening.
  • Serve over cauliflower rice or shredded cabbage for a full low-carb meal.
