Ingredients
- 2 packs instant ramen noodles (seasoning packets discarded)
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1.5 tbsp toasted sesame oil (divided)
- 1 tsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp rice vinegar
- 2 tbsp water
- 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
- 1 tsp sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook ramen noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
- In a skillet or wok over medium heat, add 1 tbsp sesame oil and sauté the garlic for about 30 seconds, just until fragrant.
- Stir in soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, water, and remaining sesame oil. Let the sauce bubble for a minute to meld the flavors.
- Add cooked noodles to the skillet. Toss until evenly coated and warmed through.
- Serve hot, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds.
Notes
- For added protein, top with a fried or soft-boiled egg.
- Add sautéed mushrooms, spinach, or shredded carrots for extra nutrition.
- Spice it up with chili garlic sauce or sriracha.
- Works with rice noodles or udon as well.
- Reheat with a splash of water or broth to loosen the sauce.
